colors and yarns

Turkey 2014

We’ve had a wonderfully sunshiny beautiful week in Turkey (Letoonia club – Fethiyeh). Enjoying the sun, the beach, the sand in our toes πŸ™‚

We’ve really needed this one week vacation away from everything to recharge our batteries (mine was really really empty πŸ™‚ )

* I couldn’t resist going to Turkey and not bying some wonderful yarn: chunky yarn in beautiful colors: Alize: This is the first time I’m trying this brand…will tell you more about it once I begin using it πŸ˜‰ (1st pic) and some of the Nako yarn that were missing from my stash πŸ™‚

Now I am back home, happy, calm, batteries fully charged πŸ™‚ I love my home and I love going back to my crochet wips too. One week without holding a hook that was veryyyyyy long πŸ™‚

Sending you sunshine, colors, and lots of kisses!

* Watching my current wip slowly growing…

* Looking at my basket full of my favorite colors…

* Chocolate (did you everΒ tasted these? mmmmmmmh pure happiness :D)

* My home…

* My beautiful country…

Have a super day full of little things …

Good morning πŸ™‚

I am often tagged on Instagram to show What I’m Doing Now (widn) and this always makes me happy πŸ™‚ I love to see what others are making now and showing what I’m doing too…

I love Instagram… It is my favorite social media… I am a pictures lover… When I was young I remember reading only the books with pictures inside… I love to see… see glimpses of other people’s life, home, wips etc…this makes me extremely happy πŸ™‚

These days I am back to my granny white…

Remember it?Β I started it with a huge need to crochet granny squares… I still don’t know what will it becomes… But working on it makes me happy…extremely πŸ˜‰

I’ve made 3 first rounds of each color in my stash… I crochet in series like a machine… a machine that enjoys what she’s doing πŸ™‚ hahaha

Did you spot something attached to my hook in the above pic?

Well it is a crochet necklace a gift from a very sweet friend Susan… You wear this cute necklace while crocheting and you will never ever loose your hook… or your scissor too (It holds both)

A wonderful and clever idea eh?

Susan have an etsy shop where she sells these wonderful crochet necklaces and other cute crocheted items too… You can visit it right here πŸ™‚ and you’ll love it πŸ™‚

Thank you so much Susan for these two necklaces… I’m wearing one of them right now πŸ™‚

And WIDN? Well crocheting, crocheting, crocheting…

… adding more squares to this beauty

…. and in a while I’ll be baking some delicious cookies πŸ˜‰ Mmmmmh

Have a sweet day πŸ™‚

I breathe crochet :)

Hello there!

How’s everything?

This post is again about my hooky update πŸ˜‰ Sometimes I feel like I breathe crochet πŸ™‚

I choose some yarn… bright and beautiful colorful yarn to start the girls ponchos… I love when children wear colorful clothes…Β Don’t you agree?

And I started the two ponchos together…

Christina, my oldest girl (8years) chose the yellow to begin with… Here is her poncho so far…

And Sarah (6years old) chose the fushia to start with πŸ™‚

The yarn I am using is called Nako Lux Ninnos a very soft yarn with bright and lovely colors… It is worked with a 3.5mm hook…

I chose for the girls to make this granny poncho… It is very soothing and relaxing to work on… very simple pattern to follow once you make your first two rounds… I just love thisΒ design πŸ™‚

You can find the pattern right here πŸ˜‰

I’ve added also more stripes to my vintage stripy blanket…

I love the colors melting on this project… and I love to pick it on the evenings while watching TV with hubby πŸ˜‰

And my crochet mood blanket is slowly growing. In the pic above you can see the first 20 days of February…

and on this one you can see it all (January + 20 days of February) …

What do you think?Β  Are you in love like myself? πŸ˜€

You can find here the chart of the squares and how I am joining them together as I go with the last round πŸ˜‰

I am back to my yellow filofax and using it every night to plan the next day is always a pleasure for me… I love when everything is clearly written on a paper… I am “old-fashion” I know πŸ˜‰

Have to go now…

I’m wishing you a beautiful day!
